Age Range
What age group is Roar and Explore aimed at?
- Toddler area for children under 3 years old
- Junior play area for 3 – 10-year olds
We also have a number of activity centres for babies, who may not be able to participate in the soft play area.

What times & days are you open?

Please note, we are closed during term time on Tuesdays. During school holidays we are open 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM every day.
Do you open on Bank Holidays?
- Easter Sunday
- Christmas Day
- Boxing Day
- New Years Day
However, we advise you check our social media regularly for exceptional closures including deep clean days.

Can anyone come and use the cafe?
There are additional catering facilities within Dairy Farm Shopping Centre for anyone not attending Roar and Explore.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
We ask that you please do not bring snacks into the facility, particularly those containing nuts due to nut allergies.
Can you cater for allergies?
We have a separate fryer we use for allergies to ensure no cross contamination for people – please just request this at time of placing your order.
We do offer gluten free, milk free and wheat free chicken nuggets and fish fingers.
Do you offer vegetarian / vegan meals?
We can also cater a party for vegetarian/vegan with notice. Please contact Roar and Explore for more details.
birthday parties
Can I bring my own catering for a birthday party?
The only exception is if you would like to bring additional sweets or a cake for the party table, these are permitted as long as you advise us beforehand and they are not consumed on the main floor of Roar and Explore.
We also provide adult sandwich platters available on request.

Are there minimum numbers of children required for your birthday parties?

Do you provide a creche facility?
What should my child wear to use the play area?
- Children are advised to wear long sleeves and trousers / tights in the play are to avoid injuries.
- Children must wear socks at all times. Shoes must always be left at reception.
- No clothing with hoods or toggles is permitted in the play area.
